CTOnews.com September 21 news, set Consulting (TrendForce) recently released a report, estimated that the number of public charging piles in the world will exceed 16 million in 2026, about three times that of this year.

According to data cited by CTOnews.com, the number of new energy vehicles (the actual number of vehicles owned by PHEV and BEV) will reach 96 million in 2026, and the vehicle-to-pile ratio (the ratio of a new energy vehicle to the number of charging piles) will be about 6:1, which is significantly lower than in 2021 (about 10:1).

The report also points out that China is an important driver of the global number of public charging piles, and is expected to increase the vehicle-to-pile ratio to 2:1 by 2030.

At present, there are more than 200,000 charging piles in the United States, and the goal is to build 500000 charging piles by 2026. At that time, the number of new energy vehicles in the United States is expected to reach 15 million, and the vehicle-to-pile ratio is still as high as 32:1, while the vehicle-to-pile ratio in Europe and China in 2026 is 9:1 and 4:1.

In the report, Jibang Consulting pointed out that in the European market, driven by the zero-to-zero bill, it aims to build 17 million charging piles in 2030.
