The Cisco study provides an in-depth analysis of Mac and Windows PC in an enterprise environment based on a follow-up survey of more than 130000 employees from 99 countries around the world.

There are differences in network security between Mac and Windows PC users. According to data detected by Cisco Secure Endpoint, viruses and other network threats to Mac users tend to be low. About 89% of Mac users use biometric security technology, compared with 29% of Windows PC users.

In addition, the upgrade process of macOS Ventura is faster than that of Windows 11, which may make Mac a better choice for those who give priority to the latest technology.

In the eyes of many people, Mac devices tend to be more expensive. However, depending on some models, the depreciation cost of Mac over three years is more competitive than that of Windows PC, according to Cisco.

CTOnews.com also found from the survey report that 60% of Cisco employees currently use Mac devices, and when there is a choice in the device update cycle, a considerable number of PC users (24%) choose to switch to Mac. This shows that people are increasingly fond of Apple products, providing employees with more platform choices.
