According to BYD's Japanese website, the dolphin standard version costs 3.63 million yen (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 179000 yuan), with a power battery capacity of 44.9kWh and a WLTC mileage of 400km. In addition, BYD Dolphin also launched a long-range version locally, with a price of 4.07 million yen (currently about 201000 yuan) and a power battery capacity of 58.56kWhWLTC with a range of 476km. For comparison, the price of BYD dolphins starts at 116800 yuan in China.

The body size of BYD dolphin Japanese model is different from that of domestic models. Japanese models are 4290mm, 1770mm and 1550mm respectively, while domestic models are 4125mm, 1770mm and 1570mm, but the wheelbase is 2700mm.

According to CTOnews.com, the BYD ATTO 3 went on sale in Japan in January this year for 4.4 million yen (currently about 217000 yuan), making it BYD's first all-electric model in the country.

BYD, which opened its first Japanese store in Yokohama, Japan in February, aims to open more than 100 showrooms across Japan by the end of 2025. As of August 21, BYD had opened 10 showrooms in Japan, officially announcing that it would "bring BYD electric cars into the daily lives of Japanese consumers", and the seals will be available on the Japanese market later.
