The report points out that the journals with the highest impact factors of all disciplines can be regarded as the most influential journals of all disciplines in the world. There are 159 high-impact journals in 178 disciplines in 2022, and the total number of papers in the most influential journals in various disciplines is 54002 in 2022. China has published 16349 papers in these journals, accounting for 30.3% of the world total, surpassing the United States for the first time to rank first in the world.

The journals in which the impact factors of each discipline and the total number of citations live together in the top 10% of the disciplines, and the number of academic papers and review articles published each year is more than 50, and they are selected as representative scientific and technological journals of various disciplines in the world, and the papers published on them belong to high-level international journal papers. In 2022, a total of 371 international sci-tech journals were selected as representative sci-tech journals of various disciplines in the world, and 34.86 million high-level international journal papers were published. According to the statistical analysis results of the first author and the first unit, China published 93600 high-level international journal papers, accounting for 26.9% of the world total, and the number of citations was 649600, ranking first in the world in terms of the number of papers published and the number of citations.

CTOnews.com, the report also focuses on international journals with more than 100,000 citations and impact factors of more than 30. These journals are the top journals in all disciplines, reflecting the highest level and greatest influence in this field. There are 16 such journals in 2022, with a total of 284 million papers published. China has published 1140 academic papers and review articles in these journals, ranking second in the world, the same as in 2021.
