CTOnews.com, September 20 (Xinhua)-- Intel announced at the On Technology Innovation Conference in 2023 that it will develop a new generation of AI supercomputing for Stability AI, equipped with 4000 Gaudi 2 AI accelerators and Intel's fifth-generation Xeon processors to meet the needs of future AI scenarios.

Microsoft did not disclose the power of the AI in its press release, saying only that it would be in the top 15 after its launch.

Intel has managed to close the gap between the Gaudi AI accelerator and competitors such as the NVIDIA H100, offering at least a better TCO, although it cannot offer the same performance potential as the Hopper GPU.

At the event held in July this year, Intel officially launched the second generation of Gaudi deep learning accelerator-Habana ®Gaudi ®2, which is mainly used to accelerate AI training and reasoning. CTOnews.com summarizes the parameter information of this processor:

Intel is currently working on Gaudi 3, using 5nm process nodes to increase 4x BFloat16 capacity, 2x computing power, 1.5x network bandwidth and 1.5x HMB capacity (144GB).
