CTOnews.com, September 19 (Xinhua)-- Cyberpunk 2077 will be the first game to support Nvidia DLSS 3.5, Nvidia's latest image quality enhancement technology, which will be released on September 21 with the game's version 2.0 update.

DLSS 3.5 uses a new technology called light reconstruction, which Nvidia says uses artificial intelligence to improve the quality of light pursuit. Light reconstruction replaces "manually adjusted denoising" with an artificial intelligence network trained by a supercomputer to produce higher-quality pixels between sampled rays. In addition, DLSS 3.5 uses five times more data than DLSS 3 for training and can identify different light tracking effects to "use time and spatial data more intelligently", resulting in higher image quality improvements.

In Cyberpunk 2077, this means that the quality and clarity of reflections will be improved, global illumination will be more accurate, and lighting will be better.

In addition to better light pursuit, the 2.0 update of Cyberpunk 2077 will also add vehicle combat and chase, a "redo" police system, and redesigned stunts and skill trees.

It is worth mentioning that the "Cyberpunk 2077" game expansion "Shadows of the past" will be unlocked at 7: 00 a.m. on September 26, and will also support Nvidia DLSS 3.5. CTOnews.com notes that although DLSS 3 only supports RTX 40 series graphics cards, DLSS 3.5 will support all RTX graphics cards, meaning that even RTX 2080 five years ago will support it. Other games, including Portal RTX (Portal with RTX), Soul Killer 2 (Alan Wake 2), and half Life 2 RTX (Half-Life 2 RTX: An RTX Remix Project), will also be supported by DLSS 3.5 this fall.
