Later, the Rust project set up a new leadership committee, disbanded the original Rust core team, and claimed that it was "reshaping the leadership and governance model of Rust."

Earlier this month, Jonas Schievink, a member of the Rust release team (Release Team), applied in Github's Rust language management project to remove his name from each project, arguing that "the current 'leadership committee' of the Rust team is incompetent and authoritarian, and the whole project is disappointing at the moment."

The Rust program repeatedly failed its volunteers, sabotaged community projects and suppressed public discussion, while its leadership simply evaded responsibility and "saved the consequences" for those who were at fault.

The cowardly approach to recent RustConf keynote speeches is only the latest example, and it is unlikely to be the last, even if the legal "leadership structure" becomes a "leadership committee".

The only permanent solution to these problems is to completely expel or defend those responsible for these problems in the Rust project.

I strongly recommend that all volunteers on the Rust team seriously reconsider whether the organization is really worth volunteering.

In addition, I urge everyone who knows the details of the Rust project failure but has not yet made it public to ask themselves: do you think those who are considering participating in Rust should tell them what will happen next, lest they get caught up in it and relive the same experience?
