CTOnews.com, September 19 (Xinhua)-- to help bridge the global artificial intelligence (AI) skills gap, IBM has pledged to train 2 million AI talents by the end of 2026, focusing on underrepresented groups, IBM said in a statement today.

The company expects that artificial intelligence and automation will require the company to retrain 40% of its employees because of expected advances in artificial intelligence over the next three years.

IBM said that in order to achieve this goal on a global scale, IBM is expanding its cooperation with universities around the world to provide artificial intelligence training for adult learners and new AI training courses through IBM SkillsBuild.

It is said that IBM's new free course will teach generative AI prompt writing, introduction to machine learning, the use of AI to improve customer service, and the practical application of generative artificial intelligence.
