Ubisoft's London studio is managed by Ubisoft Barcelona and revolves around the hungry shark game IP. Since its launch in 2010, the studio has downloaded more than 1 billion games.

Ubisoft London Studios, formerly known as Future Games of London, was founded in 2009 and was acquired by Ubisoft in 2013 after the popularity of the hungry shark game.

Ubisoft said in a statement:

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve efficiency, simplify operations and reduce costs, we are proposing to merge our Ubisoft Barcelona mobile game studio to continue to manage the hungry shark game IP.

In accordance with UK regulations, we are in discussions with the Ubisoft team in London on the proposal to close the studio, affecting 54 employees.
