CTOnews.com, September 15, Microsoft today issued a press release inviting Windows Insider project members from Canary and Dev channels to test the latest 11.2308.33.0 version of Win11 screenshot tool Snipping Tool.

This update focuses on introducing an OCR feature called "Text Actions", which is the same as the 11.2307.44.0 version that was previously invited for testing, but the new version further enhances OCR recognition.

Microsoft said that through the "Text Actions" function, the text content in the screenshot can be easily identified and converted into a digital version to share in other applications.

CTOnews.com also noticed another feature from the press release: after digitizing the text, users can edit sensitive information in screenshots before sharing, click "Quick Redact" in the toolbar, and automatically hide email and phone numbers. Users can also manually hide important information.
