The minister pointed out that now is the best time for Indonesia to own and produce domestic electric vehicles, and will carry out research with Geely in order to "achieve great-leap-forward development." At present, there are Hyundai, Wuling and Dongfeng Xiaokang brands that produce electric cars in the country, which are produced by factories in Java.
