CTOnews.com Sept. 14, SAIC held the SAIC MG Global Dealers Conference at SAIC forward-looking Design Center in London, UK on September 12, where more than 200 dealers from six continents gathered here.

At this conference, SAIC revealed the information on the layout of innovative technology reserves in Zhidian, products and business planning in overseas markets.

According to reports, in the first eight months of this year, MG4 EV sold a total of 46000 vehicles in Europe, making it "the best-selling Chinese tram in Europe." In the year since its launch, MG4 EV has sold well in more than 30 countries around the world, making it the most exported pure electric model by Chinese brands from January to August this year.

SAIC expects overseas sales in 2023 to exceed 1.2 million vehicles. SAIC is said to have started the site selection of a complete vehicle manufacturing base in Europe.

SAIC officials also mentioned that the global annual sales of the MG brand will move towards one million vehicles in 2024, of which nearly 30% of new energy vehicles will be launched in Europe in 2023.

In addition, in order to cover the mainstream market segment, SAIC will launch 14 new smart electric models overseas, including Zhiji LS6, by 2025; by 2026, SAIC will add 12 new energy ocean carriers, when it will have a self-supporting capacity of more than 500000 vehicles a year.

Referring to CTOnews.com 's previous report, the SAIC Mingjue MG4 EV Sea Champion version (CTOnews.com note: the domestic counterpart was originally MG MULAN) went on sale on August 7. The car launched a configuration with a guide price of 139800 yuan.

The price of this model is the same as that of the entry-level "425km deluxe version" in the current model, with some additions and reductions in configuration.

In terms of power, the new car uses a rear-drive single motor configuration, with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with maximum power 125kW and peak torque of 250N ·m, but the battery capacity is slightly reduced compared with the current model, which is 49kWh, supporting 7-hour slow charging and 28-minute fast charging (30% 80%).
