According to the person in charge of the Construction Department of China Railway Chengdu Bureau Group Co., Ltd., the section from Qingbaijiang to Zhenjiang of Sichuan-Qinghai Railway is a Ⅰ-class double-line passenger and freight railway, which started construction in October 2013 and completed in May 2023.

According to CTOnews.com inquiry, there are 10 stations in Qingbaijiang, Sanxingdui, West of Shifang, South of Mianzhu, Anzhou, Gaochuan, Maoxian, Shidaguan, Diexi and Zhenjiang pass, of which Shidaguan and Diexi stations are cross-crossing stations without passenger transport, while Qingbaijiang Station is the existing reconstruction station.

Sichuan-Qinghai Railway is a railway under construction in China, which connects Chengdu in western Sichuan Province with Xining in Qinghai Province at a speed of 200 km / h. The original construction project is called "New Chengdu-Lanzhou Railway" (referred to as Chenglan Railway). Originally planned from Chengdu via Shifang, Mianzhu, Maoxian, Songpan to Jiuzhaigou, it extends northward to connect with Hada Pu Station of Lanzhou-Chongqing Railway to Lanzhou. Because the section from Huangshengguan to Hadapu passes through Jiuzhaigou National Scenic spot, after many times of research, demonstration and evaluation by experts, in order to avoid ecological damage to the area, the section from Huangshengguan to Hadapu was finally cancelled.

In April 2023, the railway from Chengdu to Xining via Huangshengguan was officially named "Sichuan-Qinghai Railway", that is, the former Chengdu-Huangshengguan section of Chenglan Railway and the Haixi-Huangshengguan section of Xining-Chengdu high-speed railway were merged and renamed. Among them, the Chengdu-Huangshengguan section of the Sichuan-Qinghai Railway is expected to be opened to traffic in 2023, and the Haixi-Huangshengguan section is expected to open to traffic in 2028.
