CTOnews.com checked Apple's website and found that the company had quietly removed accessories such as leather jackets.

In terms of iPhone accessories, Apple has introduced MagSafe silicone case, woven twill case and transparent case for the iPhone15 / 15 Pro series, which not only does not provide a leather case, but also takes the leather case off the shelves of the old iPhone.

The same is true for the Apple Watch strap. Apple's new strap is made of silicone, woven twill, nylon, fluororubber and so on, while there is no new leather strap. Most of Apple's new straps contain recycled ingredients, which are labeled as "leaves" as a symbol of environmental protection.

Take the fine-woven twill material, for example, which Apple officials say is made of durable ultra-fine twill fibers with a suede-like soft touch. This material is also designed for the sake of the earth's environment, accounting for 68% of the recycled ingredients after consumption, and its carbon emissions are significantly lower than those of leather materials.

Apple announced today that it will further promote decarbonization in its global supply chain. By 2030, more than 300 suppliers will use 100% clean energy to make Apple products. The company said that more than 50 new suppliers from the United States, Europe and Asia announced the implementation of these commitments, promoting the development of clean energy projects for Apple suppliers.
