CTOnews.com Sept. 13, Apple CEO Cook said at the ongoing Apple fall product launch that developers are very excited about the Vision Pro head, which will be launched early next year as planned.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, Apple began setting up Vision Pro developer labs in Cupertino, London, Munich, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo last month so that developers can get started with the head display as soon as possible. However, Bloomberg Gurman tweeted: "I've heard that not many people signed up for Apple's Vision Pro developer seminar."

In response, Steve Sinclair, marketing director of Apple Vision Pro and Susan Prescott, vice president of global developer relations, told Digital Trends: "Apple developers are very satisfied with the Vision Pro head, and the number of SDK downloads exceeded the company's expectations."

In its WWDC23 keynote speech in June this year, Apple officially unveiled its first head display product, the Vision Pro, which is said to integrate the real world and the digital world "seamlessly".

The Vision Pro head display consists of a glass front panel and an aluminum frame, including sensors, cameras, display screens and computing components cooled by fans. The product has an external battery that provides a 2-hour battery life and can be connected through a "soft braided cable". Apple says its display will be clearer than ever, with a micro-OLED screen with 2300 megapixels and a monocular resolution of more than 4K.

In addition, as an AR device, the Vision Pro can switch between augmented reality and full virtual reality (VR) through a knob.
