CTOnews.com Sept. 13, Microsoft recently announced that it will stop the translation function in OneNote for Windows 10 applications starting in November 2023.

Users can continue to use the OneNote for Windows 10 app after November this year, but an error message will pop up when they try to access the translation function.

Although Microsoft's OneNote for Windows 10 app is still working, Microsoft offers an alternative solution for users who rely on translation: visit Microsoft Store and download OneNote apps.

In addition, to use the translation feature, you need to purchase subscriptions such as Microsoft 365Family, Personal, Business Standard, Business Premium, Apps for Business or Apps for Enterprise.

The OneNote for Windows 10 application, also known as OneNote Universal App, was originally built as a Win10 Universal Apps application and was originally planned to replace the traditional OneNote client, but it was gradually abandoned by Microsoft because of many challenges in the enterprise environment.

With Microsoft gradually abandoning the UWP solution, OneNote's x86 client has regained its prominent position. So far, OneNote for Windows 10 has been officially retired and only the old version is available in the store.
