Although Apple has been producing the iPhone in India for some time, it has lagged behind China's "major" iPhone assembly plants, such as Foxconn.

A few years ago, an Indian-made iPhone might not enter the market until six months after its September launch. At present, the gap is gradually narrowing. Last year, the iPhone 14 made in India was only six to eight weeks later than that made in China.

This means that this is the first time that the latest generation of Apple devices made in India will be available on the first day of sale, and production of the iPhone 15 in India is scheduled to begin in early August. According to reports, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are being produced in Indian factories, and Apple still relies on China to assemble its most high-end iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models.
