The 2023 Beijing Digital Transportation Conference, sponsored by China Traffic newspaper and China Transportation Association, was held in Beijing, fully demonstrating the important achievements and construction achievements of China's digital transportation in the new era.

According to Xinhua News Agency, Chen Kun, deputy director of the Information Institute of the Planning and Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, revealed that at present, more than 3500 kilometers of highways in China have completed intelligent upgrading, and a number of intelligent highways have been built, such as the Hebei section of the Jingxiong Expressway, the Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway, the double track around Hangzhou, and the Chengyi Expressway.

According to reports, at present, the coverage of electronic waterway maps of high-grade waterways in China is more than 70 percent, more than 20 automated container terminals have been built or are under construction, and more than 10 million road transport and urban passenger vehicles using Beidou terminals have been installed. The application rate of Beidou system in key areas is more than 95%.

IT House learned through official materials that the conference, sponsored by China Transportation Association and other units, focuses on the main tasks of "one brain, five networks and two systems" with the theme of "Digital New era, New Traffic Future". The conference includes a host forum, 10 parallel forums and a theme exhibition, covering highway, waterway, railway, civil aviation, postal and other fields.

At the meeting, more than 400 representatives from government management departments, scientific research institutes, transportation science and technology enterprises, industry associations and other representatives jointly discussed how to improve the digital, networked and intelligent level of the transportation industry.
