Thanks to CTOnews.com net friend rain and snow, yahu 667788, soft media new friend 1933769, partial science yellow 4100 eyes clue delivery! CTOnews.com September 12 news, Sony Semiconductor today announced that its optical LYTIA image sensor brand and OPPO cooperation, joint OPPO super light image engine, jointly launched LYTIA image sensor with double-layer transistor pixel technology.

Sony Semiconductor claims to be "defining a new generation of sensors with computational light and shadow," while OPPO calls itself "the next era of computational photography."

CTOnews.com found that this "double-layer transistor pixel" is not new. Sony Semiconductor announced the launch of this technology as early as 2021 and successfully used it in Sony Xperia 1 V flagship phone this year.

The first layer of "double-layer transistor pixel" is photodiode and the second layer is pixel transistor. The combination of the two layers can capture more light, reduce image noise, avoid underexposure and overexposure in bright and dim lighting environments (such as backlight environment), and even obtain high-quality, low-noise images in low-light (such as indoor and night) environments.

The cooperation between OPPO and Sony means that OPPO's new machine is also expected to usher in the main camera of "double-layer transistor pixels". Everyone can look forward to the results of the image.

It is worth mentioning that OPPO has previously developed its own image-specific NPU chip, called Mariana X, but with the termination of Zheku's self-developed chip business, OPPO's choice to cooperate with other manufacturers seems to be a better choice.

Blogger @WHYLAB said that the OPPO Find N3 main camera will launch this LYTIA image sensor LYT800, 1/1.43", 53MP, parameters similar to IMX888, and the vivo X100 series will also be warmed up.
