This is Wu Yongming's first full-staff communication since he took office on September 10, defining Ali's strategic priority direction and action guide for the future.

Wu Yongming proposed to reshape business strategic priorities according to the two strategic priorities of user first and AI-driven. On this basis, Alibaba will increase strategic investment in three types of business-- first, technology-driven Internet platform business, second, AI-driven science and technology business, and third, global business network.

He believes that the serious homogenization of the traditional Internet model has moved towards stock competition, and the new technology represented by AI artificial intelligence is becoming the new momentum of global business development. In the full letter, Wu Yongming also put forward the clear goal of rejuvenating the management team-- to refresh the business management team as the main managers of the post-85 and post-90s generation within four years, and to create a mechanism and cultural environment for more young Ali to become the core strength of Ali.

Hello, Ali people. I'm Wu Yongming.

Today is the third day that I officially take over as CEO of Ali Group. It is a great honor to fight with you.

Times are changing, Ali must change! With the progress of the times, Ali must make progress! Over the past 24 years, Ali has seized the tide of the times and achieved rapid growth by using Internet technology. Today, the serious homogenization of the traditional Internet model has moved towards stock competition, and the new technology represented by AI artificial intelligence is becoming the new momentum of global business development. Ali must change itself in order to find the key to the future, to adhere to the original intention of solving problems for the society, to fulfill the mission of serving small and medium-sized enterprises, and to adhere to the vision of being a good company beneficial to the society.

I would like to announce to you that facing the future, Ali has established two strategic priorities: user first and AI-driven. The Group will sort out its business around these two priorities and reshape its business strategic priorities. On this basis, the Group will increase strategic investment in three types of business: 1, technology-driven Internet platform business; 2, AI-driven technology business; 3, global business network.

The foundation of all business is user value and user retention. We must be more determined to turn to the user perspective, multi-dimensional to meet the needs of users, the priority of user needs above all else. More users can bring more market opportunities to businesses. At the same time, in the new era, if we want to create the best user experience in the industry, we must be more open. Businesses should take the initiative to take the user-first perspective and seek the broadest range of openness and cooperation, including companies that compete in the traditional sense. Correspondingly, we will make inter-business cooperation more in line with the principle of marketization without affecting the strategic linkage effect.

There is no doubt that the biggest variable in the next decade will be the profound industry-wide changes brought about by AI. We have a large number of user scenarios in our businesses, and we must turn these scenarios into the best application fields for AI technology, bringing breakthrough user experiences and business models through technological innovation. If we can't keep up with the changes of the AI era, there will be new species to replace us.

Another important area is globalization. Globalization is both an opportunity and a responsibility for Alibaba. Ali's first business was global business, and we were determined to be a company founded by Chinese people with unique value in global economic development. Today, we already have many layouts around the world, and we will focus on our advantages in the future.
