Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com Sept. 11, a few months ago, Microsoft introduced a split-screen feature for Edge browsers, allowing users to browse two websites at the same time in one browser window. The split screen feature is already available to all users in the stable version, and users can enable it through the special button on the toolbar or by pressing Ctrl + Shift + 2. Soon this feature will usher in a new improvement, that is, the addition of a vertical layout.
In the latest version of Canary, users can choose one of two layouts: horizontally, the pages are displayed side by side, or vertically, the pages are stacked up and down. Users can also switch at any time by clicking the three-point button and resize them by dragging separators.
CTOnews.com notes that in addition to the new layout, Microsoft is providing another improvement to the user experience for split-screen functionality. The "More option" menu will soon provide two new options: open a link in the secondary tab or in the current tab. To help users better understand the concept, there will be additional graphics to explain the behavior of each option.
