The new regulations also make it clear that public welfare accounts are not allowed to conduct profit-making activities such as live broadcast reward and e-commerce sales, and it is strictly forbidden for all kinds of accounts to win attention, cheat fans, cheat likes, and make illegal profits on the grounds of public welfare. Douyin has carried out strict governance for false information such as posing, selling badly, and exaggerating to highlight social and family contradictions, or by publishing contents that seek commercial cash, such as "helping farmers", "helping the elderly", "helping the disabled" and "helping the poor". A total of 9000 fake public welfare accounts were dealt with.

In order to combat cyber violence, Douyin platform has launched the functions of "on-screen riot prevention" and "cyber violence intervention tip bar in the comment area". Douyin said that after the launch of the new feature, the number of online violence reports about bullet screens on the platform decreased by 36 per cent in the second quarter.

Douyin has also severely cracked down on the publication and dissemination of false information. In order to avoid misleading the public by false information, the platform has launched a "user independent declaration" function, which allows users to make statements such as "fictional interpretation for entertainment only" when posting videos. After the feature was launched in May, users took the initiative to add announcements for more than 1.35 million videos. At the same time, the platform also continued to crack down on the phenomenon of homogenized bad information, cleaning up more than 300,000 pieces of homogenized false information.

At the same time, some false advertisements, such as waterproof leak repair advertisements that claim "stop leaks in 3 seconds" and "repair them for free", and false promise advertisements such as "promoted to undergraduates without academic qualifications", have also been severely cracked down. A total of more than 3000 illegal operators have been dealt with by "permanent termination of cooperation". Another 27000 fake accounts, through the fake host image to explain the news and other forms of marketing goods, but also received strict management.

In the second quarter, Douyin launched the "posting Assistant" tool, which can help creators detect violations and warn and mark them independently before posting, so as to avoid content violations. After the feature was launched, it was used nearly 100000 times in the second quarter.

For individual users with extreme behavior tendencies, Douyin platform called the police to help and pacify 773 users. In the second quarter, the platform processed a total of 27000 inappropriate videos that instigated and abetted others to commit extreme behavior.

In the second quarter, Douyin platform focused on taking measures against the "network rotten stem" phenomenon, which easily affects the minds of young people and their outlook on right and wrong. It filters 200000 pieces of Internet rotten content improperly for minor users every day, and at the same time, deals with more than 800,000 illegal videos fraudulently interacting with the middle-aged and the elderly, and sends out nearly 70,000 risk reminders.
