The annual meeting of 2023 Automotive aerodynamics Branch was solemnly held in Shenzhen on September 7, 2023. The annual meeting focused on automobile aerodynamics, automobile thermal management, automobile wind noise, automobile water management, automobile aerodynamic modeling, automobile virtual wind tunnel technology, automobile wind tunnel testing technology, automobile CFD advanced simulation technology and so on. It attracted more than 200 technical experts and guests from more than 20 automobile mainframe factories, some university scientific research institutions, more than a dozen CFD software development companies and so on.

Xiliu Digital, as a representative enterprise using LBM algorithm, was invited to attend the annual meeting with the domestic high-precision general fluid simulation platform Aerocae (pneumatic coffee), which was independently developed. Its dynamic tire rotation and hyperrealistic rendering post-processing were eagerly concerned by the attendees. In the booth of Xiliu Digital, the attendees and Xiliu Digital staff exchanged enthusiastically and discussed actively.

At the pneumatic branch venue, Mr. Mou Xi of Xiliu Digital CEO gave a speech on the application and innovation of Aerocae domestic CFD system in automobile design: high precision computing / hyperrealistic rendering, and introduced the difference between Aerocae domestic CFD system LBM method and traditional NS method. LBM has natural advantages in dealing with collision calculation, complex boundaries and high parallelism, and it does not need to deal with complex grids, so it is extremely inclusive to dirty grids.

The surreal rendering of Xiliu digital post-processing puts forward the idea of CFD+CG, that is, to perform realistic rendering while displaying the amount of physical simulation. This technology can not only allow engineers to quickly and intuitively see the simulation calculation of physical quantities, but also give an intuitive visual presentation to non-technical personnel such as marketing team and art design team, which can greatly reduce the communication cost of cross-team cooperation. Its exquisite post-processing effect may trigger a new round of technological revolution in the field of CFD.
