CTOnews.com Sept. 11 news, Shunyu Optical Technology announced on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange today that mobile phone lens shipments rose 17.0% in August from a year earlier, mainly due to a low base due to weak demand in the overall smartphone market in the same period last year; a month-on-month increase of 13.2%, mainly due to increased customer demand.

Shipments of in-car lenses were 8.089 million, up 14.8% from a year earlier, mainly because demand for in-car cameras increased as shortages of key parts in the car supply chain eased.

Shipments of mobile camera modules were 52.963 million, up 36.8% from a year earlier, mainly due to a low base due to weak demand in the overall smartphone market in the same period last year.
