Operation of public charging infrastructure: there were 61000 more public charging piles in August 2023 than in July, and an increase of 39.9 percent in August compared with the same period last year. As of August 2023, a total of 2.272 million public charging piles have been reported by the members of the alliance, including 963000 DC charging piles and 1.307 million AC charging piles. From September 2022 to August 2023, about 54000 new public charging piles were added every month.

Operation of public charging infrastructure in provinces, autonomous regions and cities: 71.2% of public charging piles are built in TOP10 areas of Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Hubei, Beijing, Shandong, Anhui, Henan and Fujian. The national charging power is mainly concentrated in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Hebei, Fujian, Shanghai, Shandong, Shaanxi, Henan and other provinces, and the electricity flow is mainly bus and passenger cars. Sanitation logistics vehicles, taxis and other types of vehicles account for relatively small. In August 2023, the country's total rechargeable electricity was about 3.26 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 0.1 billion kilowatt-hours over the previous month, an increase of 39.8 percent over the same period last year, and an increase of 0.2 percent over the previous month.

Operation of public charging infrastructure operators: as of August 2023, the number of charging piles operated by national charging operators TOP15 They are: 451000 sets of special call operation, 408000 sets of star charging operation, 379000 units of cloud fast charging operation, 196000 units of State Grid operation, 127000 units of Xiaocu charging operation, 110000 units of Weijing Cloud operation, 82000 units of Shenzhen vehicle power grid operation, 73, 000 units of southern power grid operation, 73, 000 units of Yiwei energy operation, 61, 000 units of remittance charging operation, Wancheng Wanchong operates 52000 units, Azure Express operates 44000 units, Wanma Aichong operates 30000 units, China Putian operates 25000 units, SAIC Anyue operates 25000 units. These 15 operators account for 94.0% of the total, while the rest account for 6.0% of the total.

Overall operation of charging infrastructure: from January to August 2023, the increment of charging infrastructure was 1.998 million, of which the increment of public charging piles was 474000 and that of private charging piles built in cars was 1.524 million, an increase of 24.8 per cent over the same period last year. As of August 2023, the cumulative number of charging infrastructure in the country was 7.208 million, an increase of 67.0% over the same period last year.

Comparison of charging infrastructure with electric vehicles: from January to August 2023, the increase in charging infrastructure was 1.998 million units, sales of new energy vehicles were 5.374 million, and charging infrastructure and new energy vehicles continued to grow rapidly.
