CTOnews.com Sept. 11, TSMC recently released a revenue report for August, which showed a sharp increase in monthly revenue, which is reported to be mainly due to orders from Apple and Nvidia, which puts TSMC in a good position to meet its revenue target for the third quarter.

CTOnews.com learned from revenue reports that TSMC's sales in August were 6.2% higher than in July, marking TSMC's second consecutive month of sales growth.

TSMC's August 2023 revenue report disclosed by ▲ TSMC's performance has changed greatly since the beginning of this year. For the whole year, the revenue of most months of this year is not the same as last year.

Matt Bryson, an analyst at analyst firm Wedbush, claimed in the results announcement that while TSMC's third-quarter revenue results were relatively solid, there had been few "meaningful" changes in the broader business environment, which was bad for the company's prospects given that the chip market remained weak.

▲ 's financial report for the second quarter of 2023, previously disclosed by TSMC, Wedbush did not change its revenue forecast for the September quarter based on the August results. The company still has a positive rating on TSMC, with a target share price of T $650 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about RMB149). TSMC's latest closing price on the exchange is T $539 (currently about Rmb123), up 20.5 per cent.

However, the analyst also pointed out that in the long run, TSMC's share price is expected to benefit from the growth of artificial intelligence and electric vehicles, and the growth of such market applications will bring more orders to the company.
