According to the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone News, the Shenzhen Municipal Transportation Bureau said that it will gradually open high-speed roads as test and demonstration roads. At present, the evaluation of the first batch of 89 km high-speed sections of the western section of Gaoping Expressway, Shuiguan Expressway, the eastern section of Nanping Expressway and the Shenzhen section of Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway along the Yangtze River have been completed as test and demonstration roads, which are scheduled to be opened in the near future, including 13 km of high-complexity roads.

According to reports, as of August this year, Shenzhen has issued road test and demonstration application notices to 15 enterprises and 325 intelligent Internet connected vehicles, an increase of 170% compared with the beginning of the implementation of the regulations in August last year.

In addition, Shenzhen City has opened a total of 771km of intelligent network-connected automobile test and demonstration roads, an increase of 20% over the same period last year. Pingshan District has achieved a global opening of 440km, taking the lead in launching a pilot project of completely unmanned commercialization, with a cumulative total of more than 26000 and a mileage of more than 500000 km.

According to statistics, the added value of Shenzhen Intelligent Network Union automobile industry reached 51.146 billion yuan in 2022, an increase of 46.1% over the same period last year. Among them, BYD, Huawei, SenseTime Group and other enterprises are all accelerating the development of intelligent, electrified and networked cars.

According to the Shenzhen implementation Plan for promoting the High-quality Development of Intelligent Network vehicles released by Shenzhen at the end of last year, Shenzhen hopes to launch more than 100 self-driving taxis and 100 self-driving buses by the end of this year, and strive to make self-driving vehicles reach more than 200 trial operation scale by the end of this year.

It is worth mentioning that the relevant departments of Shenzhen have completed the drafting of intelligent network car registration measures and intelligent network connection automobile transport management regulations, and are soliciting opinions internally, and have joined forces with BYD and other enterprises to carry out intelligent network connection vehicle license plate design, and this year is expected to issue the first intelligent network connection car official license plate and issue the first intelligent network connection car taxi road transport license.
