CTOnews.com Sept. 10, co-host Jez Corden mentioned in the Xbox Two podcast that he had had a special discussion with an Xbox executive at the Cologne Game Show to discuss the introduction of platinum achievements into the ecosystem. Executives say Microsoft is interested in improving its achievement system.

Microsoft is currently focusing on other things, but they recognize the importance of enhancing the Achievement system to provide players with more challenges and motivation.

CTOnews.com notes that achievement can prolong the attractiveness of the game and inspire players to do more than just go through customs, which is a specific challenge set by developers for players. These achievements can be consistent with the main line of the game, such as completing specific game levels, or they can involve minor tasks, such as discovering hidden abilities or hiding levels. They can also be completely independent of the main line or branch line of the game, requiring players to complete the game in a particularly challenging or unconventional way.
