CTOnews.com Sept. 9, CFexpress 4.0 specification was released at the end of August this year. Compared with the current specification, the new version doubles the theoretical transmission, and the theoretical speed of CFE-B memory card doubles to 4 GB/s. Today, the manufacturer ProGrade launched the world's first CFexpress 4.0 CFE-B card with a speed of up to 3400 MB/s,1300GB and a price of 18999 yuan.

The new ProGrade CFE-B Cobalt card has a read speed of 3400 MB/s, a write speed of 3000 MB/s, a continuous write speed of 2800 MB/s, a PCIe 4.0Co2 interface and a metal housing.

As previously reported by IT House, the new CFexpress 4.0 specification retains the physical form factor of all previous CFexpress memory cards: type A, Type B and Type C. The new specification realizes the upgrade from PCIe 3.0 to PCIe 4.0. the transmission speed of CFE-A memory card with one PCIe 4.0channel can reach 2GB/s, and the transmission speed of CFE-B memory card with two PCIe 4.0channel can reach 4GB/s.
