CTOnews.com Sept. 9, Peugeot announced in January this year the launch of the E-LION electrification strategy, with the goal of launching five electric vehicles in the next two years. Officials recently shared the appearance and interior design of the Emur3008 electric car.

Peugeot said the Emai 3008 was its first model to use the new i-Cockpit infotainment system, with a 21-inch curved panoramic display extending from the back of the steering wheel to the center of the dashboard.

There is also a new digital instrument group, ambient LED lighting and a redesigned steering wheel, and uses digital solutions to replace traditional buttons.

CTOnews.com previously reported that the new Emure 3008 model is based on the STLA Medium platform and has a range of up to 700km. In addition, the new car will be available in three versions of the powertrain, including a dual-motor version.

Peugeot said it would release more details on Sept. 12.
