CTOnews.com Sept. 9, Microsoft today released a preview update of Win11 Build 23541 for Windows Insider project members of Dev Channel. This update did not introduce much change, but temporarily removed the file preview of the recommended area of the start menu.

Win11 Build 23541 changes: after upgrading part of the Windows Insider of the Dev channel to this version, you may notice that the cloud file thumbnail preview in the recommended area in the start menu is invalid.

Fix: [taskbar] fixed an issue where dragging the application icon in the taskbar could sometimes cause explorer.exe to crash.

[search on the taskbar] fixed an issue where the tooltip did not match the current search highlight when the mouse was over the search box.

[Dev Drive] fixed an issue where the folder path could not be copied to the dialog box after a new Dev Drive was created.

Microsoft Store update: Microsoft says it has introduced a new dedicated page that allows players to explore and subscribe to PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate.

Users can learn about many benefits of Game Pass, including exclusive games, discounts, free benefits, EA Play and so on.

Microsoft wants Win11 users to quickly sign up for Game Pass services without jumping to other sites. The monthly fee for PC Game Pass is $9.99 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about RMB 73), and the monthly fee for Game Pass Ultimate is $16.99 (currently about RMB 124).
