CTOnews.com Bloomberg's Mark Gulman recently updated his Power On newsletter article to show that Apple is pushing for a shift from Lightning to USB-C ports for accessories and other digital products beyond the iPhone 15.

Gulman has previously said that Apple will announce AirPods Pro headphones with USB-C ports at a Curiosity event at 1 a.m. next Wednesday, with no changes to specifications other than port changes.

Gulman said in the update that Apple will continue to push forward the port migration of the AirPods series, and the standard AirPods and AirPods Max headphones will change as soon as next year.

CTOnews.com quoted foreign technology media The Verge as saying that Apple chose to delay updating the ports of standard AirPods and AirPods Max, meaning that the two products will be updated more thoroughly.

Apple released the third generation AirPods nearly two years ago, and AirPods Max released earlier, if Apple just changed Lightning to USB-C, and it doesn't make much sense.
