In terms of production, GAC produced 192567 vehicles in August 2023, down 12.19 per cent from the same period last year, and the cumulative output this year was 1562069, down 2.65 per cent from the same period last year. Among them, the output of new energy vehicles in August was 50921, an increase of 66.54% over the same period last year; this year's cumulative production was 344621, an increase of 100.99% over the same period last year.

In terms of sales, GAC sold 196800 vehicles in the month, down 9.68% from the same period last year, and its cumulative sales this year were 1.5507 million, down 2.34% from the same period last year. Among them, sales of new energy vehicles in August were 49526, up 62.68% from the same period last year; this year's cumulative sales were 335900, up 96.64% from the same period last year.

Guangzhou Auto Honda produced 41976 vehicles in the month, down 38.97% from the same period last year, with a total of about 395000 vehicles this year, down 23.69% from the same period last year.

Sales in the month were 42469, down 40.22% from the same period last year, and the total for this year was about 374400, down 25.7% from the same period last year.

Guangzhou Auto Toyota produced 64519 vehicles in the month, down 23.59% from the same period last year, with a total of about 590300 vehicles this year, down 11.46% from the same period last year.

Sales in the month were 70600, down 16.56% from the same period last year, and 593400 this year, down 11.27% from the same period last year.

GAC MOTOR produced 40306 vehicles in that month, an increase of 25.64% over the same period last year, and this year's total was about 255000, an increase of 7.42% over the same period last year.

Sales in the month were 37585, up 25.47% from the same period last year, and the total for this year was about 258700, up 10.6% from the same period last year.

Guangzhou Automobile Ean New Energy produced 45142 vehicles in the month, up 67.62 percent from the same period last year, and about 301200 vehicles this year, an increase of 98.09 percent over the same period last year.

Sales in the month were 45026, an increase of 66.63% over the same period last year, and a total of about 299400 vehicles this year, an increase of 96.57% over the same period last year.

Others (including Guangzhou Auto-Mitsubishi, Hechuang Automobile, Guangzhou Automobile Hino, Guangzhou Automobile BYD New Energy bus, etc.) produced 624 vehicles in the month, down 91.17% from the same period last year, and 20829 this year, down 33.12% from the same period last year.

Sales in the month were 1081, down 79.27% from the same period last year, and 24802 this year, down 14.33% from the same period last year.

According to the 2023 semi-annual report disclosed by GAC GROUP, GAC has made a profit for two consecutive months in June and July this year, which means that GAC has become the third domestic new energy vehicle brand to make a profit after BYD and ideal.

In addition, GAC Ean achieved production and sales of 267 million vehicles and 209300 vehicles in the first half of the year, up 117.39 per cent and 108.81 per cent respectively over the same period last year, and has maintained sales of more than 40,000 units for four consecutive months, ranking third in sales of new energy passenger vehicles in China; realized operating revenue of 22.387 billion yuan, an increase of about 51.4% over the same period last year.
