CTOnews.com, Sept. 8, according to ArmyTimes, the United States Army is actively promoting the evaluation of the IVAS head display 1.2 prototype and has recently been approved to enter the second phase. This means that Microsoft will need to deliver more HoloLens-based IVAS headers to the US military in the coming months.

The report says soldiers from the U.S. Army's 10th Mountain Division, 1st Infantry Brigade Battalion, and 1st Battalion of the 87th Infantry Regiment have tested 20 IVAS headers to test weapon compatibility, navigation and mission planning. At present, the test results are satisfactory to the United States Army. The Army will award a second field research contract between July and September 2024 and may enter operational testing as soon as April 2025, and the Army can deploy IVAS in a few months' time.

The second stage of IVAS is mainly to strengthen the cooperation between the two sides and further reduce the cost of Tou Xian. CTOnews.com reported in July this year that Microsoft delivered an improved HoloLens to the US Army, and the new AR could reduce adverse reactions such as nausea.

Microsoft said the new headset is "thinner, lighter and more balanced" than previous models, and will significantly improve the wearing experience and improve the performance of soldiers.
