CTOnews.com Sept. 8, according to foreign technology media The Verge reports, Microsoft has developed a Xbox game handheld prototype in the past, focusing on the cloud game experience.

Microsoft has even developed a lightweight Xbox user interface for game handsets, dedicated cloud game consoles and televisions. Some of the interfaces say they appear on some Samsung TV models, but Microsoft cancelled the dedicated Xbox cloud game console in 2021 and developed live TV apps instead.

Microsoft did develop a product similar to a live TV stick in 2021, which would support cloud games after plugging in to the TV, with the internal code name Keystone, but Microsoft said it had given up in 2022.

Spencer said in an interview earlier that at present, most of Microsoft's games can be played on game handsets such as Steam Deck and ROG Ally, and they usually support cloud archiving, so Microsoft does not see a suitable time to enter, so Xbox portable gaming devices may not be seen in the short term.
