CTOnews.com, Sept. 8 (Xinhua)-- according to a list published by the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple today obtained a technology patent called "overlay Detection for Touch input Devices." it simply detects whether the iPhone or iPad has a film, and then improves the interaction through action compensation.

In the patent, Apple fully outlines the method and system for testing whether the device is covered with a film, and can dynamically adjust according to whether there is a film on digital devices such as iPhone, iPad and so on.

CTOnews.com Note: for protection and other reasons, many consumers will choose to film iPhone and iPad devices, which will lead to slight distortion of the image generated by the screen and can change the light of the display screen in a small but perceptible way.

In the patent, Apple outlines a complete set of optical systems for testing whether the screen is covered with a film, and includes a set of systems including processing units, connectors and sensors, and can communicate with the screen to adjust the screen display.
