CTOnews.com September 7 news, in yesterday's 24th China International Optoelectronics Expo (CIOE), Wuhan Optoelectronics Technology site for the first time demonstrated 1.6T high-speed optical module and other new products.

According to reports, Optical Xun Technology 1.6T OSFP-XD optical module follows OSFP MSA and CMIS protocol standards and adopts OSFP-XD package form. The module adopts 16 channels on the electrical interface side, with a single-channel signal rate of 100Gb / s; 8 channels on the optical interface side, with a single-channel signal rate of 200Gb / s.

In the overall hardware design, the module uses the latest generation of 5nm DSP to achieve a 10km transmission link budget. In terms of manufacturing process, the module is based on the COC (chip on carrier) and COB (chip on board) process platforms of Optics Technology.

According to Guangxun Technology, the successful display of this module also marks the gradual maturity of single-wave 200G technology-related industrial chain. In the future, 800G full series optical modules will also move from 8× 100G architecture to 4× 200G architecture to further reduce unit bit cost and power consumption.
