Tesla Shanghai Super Factory adopts double-layer factory design, demanding production capacity from "space," and the body is caught in the air by robot arms, just like flying around. For example, three parallel production lines are produced in the welding workshop when producing the body floor, and the front, middle and rear three parts of the production floor do not need to be produced in sequence, which greatly improves the production efficiency.

The 6000-ton giant die casting machine equipped in Shanghai Super Factory realizes the integral molding of the whole rear floor by means of high temperature aluminum liquid injection mold. Therefore, more than 70 welded parts are "integrated into one," which not only simplifies the production and manufacturing process, but also improves the strength and stability of the car body.

Tesla Shanghai super factory automation rate has reached 95%, in the welding workshop there are hundreds of robot arms busy running, in the past hundreds of people to complete the work now only dozens of people, faster work efficiency, more unified production standards.

"Digital neural network" covers the whole process of factory production and manufacturing. The source, size, quality, number of turns, angle and torque of each screw installed are recorded. In addition, users can view the production status of orders in real time after ordering Tesla.

Tesla said that Shanghai Super Factory implemented low-carbon environmental protection into every process, with industrial waste recycling rate of 93% and industrial water recycling rate of 98%. More than 400,000 tons of reclaimed water can be recovered every year, reducing waste water from the source, and it is OK to treat the discharged waste water for fish farming.

Tesla said that 99.9% of Shanghai Super Factory are Chinese employees, and the localization rate of Shanghai Super Factory parts is higher than 95%. It adopts vertical procurement mode to avoid "middlemen earning price difference."
