According to officials, XREAL Air 2 will upgrade around the three core experience points of "display, ergonomics and sound quality" AR glasses on the basis of previous design language and technology.

The global debut of XREAL Air 2XREAL Air 2 is equipped with Sony's latest 0.55-inch Micro-OLED miniature display. Through the fusion of OLED technology and image sensor backplane technology, the screen pixel density has increased by 21% compared with the previous generation (0.68in), reaching 4032ppi.

In view of the common problems such as color deviation and lack of dark details in previous AR glasses, the upgraded self-developed "Ching Hong Ruiying" optical engine 3.0 adopts a calibration scheme one by one to calibrate the color accuracy and gamma2.2 according to the brightness of each XREAL Air 2.

According to the T Ü V Rheinland color standard test, XREAL Air 2 color standard Δ E 2000 < 3, and obtained the German Rheinland T Ü V color standard certification, and XREAL Air 2 is also the first XR equipment in the world to obtain this certification.

In terms of eye comfort, XREAL Air 2 is also certified by TUV Rhine for eye comfort, low blue light and no strobe. Monocular actual virtual image distance, binocular image combination error and distortion correction accuracy are important indexes to measure eye comfort. XREAL Air 2 has a VID of 2.5m (monocular actual virtual image distance), the average image fusion error of vertical binocular convergence is ≤ 1.83pixel, and the distortion correction accuracy is less than 1 pixel.

In terms of appearance, XREAL Air 2 has launched an additional red version and will provide seven sets of stickers in different colors and materials on the e-commerce platform for users to match freely.

The XREAL Air 2 has gone through seven ergonomic optimization upgrades, introducing a number of new materials such as magnesium alloy beams and ultra-light plastic particles in the shell, reducing the body weight by 10% to 72g (excluding nose braces), which is known as "further setting an industry record".

At the same time, the Air 2 transfers more of the front weight to the mirror legs, making the front-to-back counterweight ratio close to 50:50, reducing the load-bearing sensation on the bridge of the nose and allowing for a more balanced pressure distribution.

At the level of detail, XREAL Air 2 newly customized the "zero pressure air cushion nose support", increased the length and soft elasticity of the legs, reduced the thickness by 10%, redesigned the myopic frame, reduced the surface temperature through new circuit design and new heat dissipation materials, and improved the comfort of wearing compared with the previous generation.

In terms of audio, XREAL Air 2 is equipped with a new X-Spatial Sound 2.0 secret space sound field scheme, and the hardware layer uses superlinear loudspeakers with larger sound cavity, and introduces algorithm modules such as virtual bass, DRC dynamic loudness adjustment, EQ sound field broadening and nonlinear distortion noise cancellation to improve the medium and low frequency performance.

In terms of privacy, the superlinear loudspeaker adopts an open rear cavity design and realizes anti-leakage through the principle of phase superposition, which can restrain the sound spillover and improve the privacy of listening.

XREAL Air 2 ProXREAL Air 2 Pro adds electrochromic technology on the basis of XREAL Air 2, which can adapt to the light environment of any time and scene by manually adjusting the light transmittance of the lens.

According to reports, XREAL Air 2 Pro electrochromism supports three levels of adjustment:

First-class "home mode", suitable for 0-300lux illumination range, suitable for home environment with moderate illumination and simple light

Second-grade "travel mode", suitable for 0-1000lux illuminance range, suitable for public places with high illumination or complex light, such as offices, cafes, airplanes, cars, high-speed trains, etc.

The third "outdoor mode" is suitable for 0-100000lux range, suitable for daytime outdoor environment with very high illuminance, and compatible with all light environments.

It is worth mentioning that XREAL Air 2 Pro controls the thickness of electrostrictive film within 1mm this time, and the adjustment response time is less than 100ms. Officials claim that the XREAL Air 2 Pro is "the first AR glasses in the world to achieve mass production of electrochromic technology."

In terms of software ecology, during the launch of XREAL Air 2, the spatial computing terminal XREAL Beam, launched in June this year, has officially entered the testing stage for the pre-installed App function. At this stage, XREAL Beam will first pre-install two Pad apps, bilibili and iqiyi, and users can log in to mobile members without the need to buy additional TV members.

In the interactive logic, XREAL Beam will adopt the spatial interaction form of "flying mouse in the air": XREAL Beam avatar remote control, through remote control to achieve App interface interaction. In the future, after this function is officially launched, XREAL Beam and XREAL Air 2 can form a "movie viewing whole", and you can watch movies without being connected to any intelligent devices.

In terms of price, the initial price of XREAL Air 2 is 2499 yuan and the price of XREAL Air 2 Pro is 2999 yuan. This time, XREAL Air 2+XREAL Beam composed of the "XREAL AR space screen set" is also online, the initial price of 3298 yuan.
