CTOnews.com Sept. 6, according to the latest report released by market research firm Jon Peddie Research, shipments of AIB (Add-in-Board, graphics card certification partner) manufacturers increased 2.9% month-on-month in the second quarter of 2023, down 36% from the same period last year.

According to the report, more than 2.1 billion graphics cards have been shipped since the first quarter of 2000, valued at about $476 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 3.47 trillion yuan). AMD's market share was 17% in the second quarter of 2023, an increase of 5 percentage points compared to the previous quarter.

CTOnews.com attached the relevant information of the report as follows:

Shipments of AIB graphics cards in this quarter were 6.4 million, up 2.9% from 6.26 million in the previous quarter, and 36.3% lower than the same period last year.

Total shipments of AMD desktop AIB graphics cards increased by 46.8% quarter-on-quarter, down 48.7% from a year earlier.

Nvidia's graphics card shipments fell 1.4%, down 34.8% from a year earlier. Nvidia continues to hold 80.2 per cent of the market.
