Thank you, CTOnews.com netizen Chen Jianyu, for your clue delivery!

Tablets say to everyone, what on earth is it? Is that your next computer? Or is it your daily drama artifact?

For myself, I have been looking for its core scene. I also hope to be able to find my answer by experiencing different brands and different sizes of tablets.

Admittedly, at this stage, there is a situation that most tablets have to admit, that is, it is more than inferior. Even if the iPad Pro is plugged into the performance watch M-series chip, in my actual experience, I think there is still a significant gap in productivity compared to a normal laptop, and there is a significant disparity between the experience ceiling and the price. And like iPad mini, the performance-to-price ratio is good, the performance is not worse than the mobile phone, but the productivity is also obviously limited by the screen size, it can be said that there is almost no productivity.

Let's take a look at the Android camp, on the one hand, international giants like Samsung, the performance is also like the contemporary flagship mobile phone, full performance, of course, the price is soaring all the way, on a par with Apple. On the one hand, the pursuit of performance-to-price ratio, although the chip is not the latest, but thousands of yuan level large screen, using is cool.

Today let's take a look at the performance of Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad. Special thanks to IT House for the trial opportunity!

Like most digital products on the market, the outer packaging of Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad is also relatively simple, relatively lively in color, and in line with the tone of the brand "Xiaoxin". The tablet is also sent with its own magnetic keyboard and stylus. Their design on the packaging is consistent with that of the flat plate.

All in all, it's worth it to have a three-piece set for less than two thousand yuan. It can cover the basic office experience of current tablets. How about the specific experience? let's move on.

Lenovo small new Pad's overall fuselage uses an all-metal integrated fuselage design, the texture is relatively delicate, it is not easy to leave fingerprints. The color of the back meeting will be cut in a certain proportion, which continues the design language of the small new series family.

Lenovo's new Pad Pro has an 8-megapixel rear camera with a monochrome LED light next to it. The whole lens module bulges slightly.

The front is a 12.7-inch screen, which is huge in the flat board world. The resolution is 2977 × 1840, and the PPI reaches 273, which is a little more delicate than my iPad Pro 12.9 inch picture. In addition to high resolution, Lenovo's new Pad Pro screen supports DCI-P3 gamut and 10 Bit color depth. For video workers and people who often use tablets to pursue dramas, the look and feel is absolutely guaranteed.

When you look at this screen from different angles, the most intuitive thing is that the brightness will drop slightly, but its screen can still maintain a relatively high color accuracy. Daily use will not have a significant impact.

The screen share of 87% is relatively high among all the tablets at present, and the equilateral frame around the 1cm will not be very abrupt in actual use. Holding both hands will not easily touch the edge of the screen.

What's the actual experience? I'm going to make a delay video made by myself. You can compare the picture quality performance on Lenovo's new Pad Pro and iPad Pro 12.9 and Macbook Pro 14 2023.

Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.7 release record

Apple iPad Pro 12.9 external release record

Apple Macbook Pro external recording is not difficult to find that at the highest brightness, about 80% brightness, Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro's audio and video performance will not lag behind the latter two, it can be said that it has a relatively excellent experience in watching movies and entertainment.

According to the official introduction, Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro still adapts to the functions of "bilibili", "iqiyi" and "Youku" with frame Yiying painting, Dolby Horizon, HDR True Color and frame sharing!

After finding a "Deep Sea" and opening the Dolby field of vision, we can see that Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro has a very good look and feel, rich colors, bright colors, and relatively transparent. At the price of 1,000 yuan, I think it is quite satisfactory.

In addition to vision, auditory perception also has a direct impact on everyone's viewing experience. Lenovo's new Pad Pro body has four JBL speakers, which can achieve four-channel surround sound and obtain Dolby panoramic sound. You can take a look at the actual comparison between it and iPad Pro.

Although there will be some differences after listening carefully, after all, many software is deeply customized under iPadOS, audio, hardware and software training will be better, but the overall listening will not lag behind this kind of ten thousand yuan tablet computer a lot, after all, the price is there. Personally, this is the first time I have heard such a shocking and resounding voice. If it weren't for this review, I wouldn't even be looking for this kind of very high-quality online movies. But to tell you the truth, this experience was shocked.

In addition to the entertainment mentioned above, let's talk about another scene of Lenovo's new Pad Pro-the office.

I used to equip my iPad Pro with original keyboards and stylus to help me deal with pictures, videos, even documents, and so on. However, I would prefer to hold meetings and write documents on my laptop as I am used to working with flying books. So for me, working on a tablet is more of an attempt than a habit.

As mentioned earlier, Lenovo's new Pad Pro is equipped with a special keyboard and stylus, which I think is very reasonable and expected. Isn't it a proper waste of such a big screen without trying to be productive?

Lenovo's new Pad Pro magnetic keyboard is divided into two parts: one is through the bottom of the magnet and three metal contacts, can firmly connect the tablet and the keyboard. Measured, this magnetic force is larger than expected, and it will not be easy to separate the two. On the other side is a bracket shell that can provide some protection to the plate.

The bracket shell is fixed by four corners. If the edge is wider and more protective, I think it will be better. After all, holding such a large tablet in hand does increase the possibility of instability.

In addition, after the bracket shell is installed, it smells like a very hard Surface.

The first section of the bracket is naturally opened to a certain angle, giving a basic angle. After that, the maximum tilt angle can be adjusted to about 165 °. The flat plate can be laid almost flat on the table.

Personally, I think this idea is smarter than Surface's. I have also used Surface Pro 3 and Pro 4, and the back bracket will definitely be loose after using it for a long time, and the part where the bracket is in contact with the plane (especially the all-metal fuselage + bracket design like Surface) will fall off after a long time, anyway, it will be very crazy for me.

On Lenovo's new Pad Pro, even if I encounter this situation, I can just replace the plastic shell, which looks less annoying.

Similar to the second generation of Apple Pencil, Lenovo's new Pad Pro stylus uses magnetism to charge. However, the placement is not on one side of the plate, but on the elliptical area on the back. This stylus should also be made of almost all metal, but the overall weight is lighter than the Apple Pencil, and there is an extra pen body button, which can be played in a lot of ways.

After connecting the stylus, the screen will have a floating icon of the stylus. Click to quickly set up the camera and shoot the document; either select the screen to take a screenshot; or click to start the memo; or open the pen tip track display to show others where the current cursor is; or turn on the magnifying glass function to see the current screen display; or the remote control function, you can control PPT or audio and video playback. The basic functions are very complete.

Using its own "draw the World Pro" software, combined with 4096 pressure and low delay sensing, handwriting is very smooth and natural, and can simulate the thickness of lines under different pressure sensations. I believe that there will be no problem with handwriting notes every day.

When it comes to the keyboard part, Lenovo's Pad Pro keyboard design is really similar to that of Xiaoxin's notebook! The touch of the button is also very similar to that of using it on a notebook. I don't think there is anything wrong with it. There is also a large trackpad that supports multi-finger touch and gesture touch, which is in line with the operation of the laptop.

Unlike the laptop keyboard, Lenovo's new Pad Pro keyboard cancels the above row of function keys in exchange for some common shortcuts, such as volume, brightness, lock screen, and so on. Finally, there are two App shortcuts that can be customized to open quickly.

I think these two buttons are very useful. When you are dealing with something, you suddenly want to open a certain APP, press it directly, and start it. Instead of going back to the desktop, switch the screen back and forth to find out. Give Lenovo's industry and research great praise!

For people like me who often come to work with flying books, I may write documents on the web page at this end. When the news of flying books comes, my first reaction is not to let my fingertips move on the trackpad or screen, but to press the set App shortcut key and let the flying book open itself. Everything that has been used is said yes, and I think you will, too.

(yes, the reviews of this article are all written in the Flying Book document on Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro.)

I've talked about so many accessories, but what I want to say is that these are only part of Lenovo's experience in the office.

I think a good office experience should be met: reliable, lasting and efficient.

Lenovo's new Pad Pro is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, 8 GB storage and 128 GB storage (scalable 1TB TF card), which is not high for 2023. However, when the ZUI 15 system based on Android 13 runs under such a configured tablet, there is no obvious stutter in daily use. Therefore, the scene I defined for Lenovo's new Pad Pro is daily light office work, or learning tablet is more appropriate.

To ensure the durability of the office, it has to be said that Lenovo Xiaoxin is equipped with 10200mAh batteries and supports 20W fast charging. Like me, I may write documents for about 2 hours a day, and the daily power consumption is about 10% (adaptive brightness).

It is not difficult to find that people usually buy larger-size, higher-resolution monitors because they want to see more windows and handle more things at the same time. It's the same on the tablet.

Almost all of Lenovo's new Pad Pro applications support full-screen, left-to-right split-screen and suspension window settings. Improve the efficiency of multitasking. Some App like WPS, QQ Music and Sina Weibo have also made self-developed applications to adapt to horizontal screen. The sense of experience will be better. I hope that people like Wechat can adapt as soon as possible to further enhance the experience.

The above is the introduction of my experience of Lenovo's new Pad Pro core features and scenarios.

Some of the other software and hardware features of Lenovo's new Pad Pro actually impressed me:

For example, the screen supports up to 144Hz; the boot button with fingerprint recognition; face recognition with a front camera; a 1300W front camera with global beauty; and video portrait tracking, all of which you can find on more expensive tablets, but Lenovo's new Pad Pro has a price advantage.

Of course, Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro is not without shortcomings or shortcomings.

First of all, there is room for optimization of the App that comes with the system. The icons and text sizes of some App interfaces will look disharmonious and feel a bit wasted on this screen. It is suggested that you can re-optimize the experience process to arrange the location of the keys according to the actual experience, so as to make App UI / UX more user-friendly, make good use of the advantages of the screen, and show more valuable content and more practical functions.

Second, maybe it's because I haven't used an Android tablet (I use an Android phone myself) that such a good screen can't play MKV video encoded by HDR 4K H265 that I downloaded from the Internet. I think it's necessary to equip such a good screen with a qualified BYOD. If you know anything, thank you for your advice; finally, there are some third-party App adaptable display methods, I think this should be a common fault of Android, not Lenovo small new Pad Pro, I really hope that Android ecology can have a more consistent experience.

Finally, I think Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro is actually in line with my expectations. 12.7in P3 color gamut supports HDR large screen, with Dolby panoramic sound effect, watching Dolby horizon video is unique! Cost-effective keyboard + stylus office kit, comfortable keyboard input experience and sensitive touch, can bring a reliable light office experience. The super-large capacity battery can protect the efficient office.
