The company sold 114096 cars in August, an increase of 29.32 percent over the same period last year, including overseas sales of 30741 units and new energy vehicles of 26301 units. In addition, the company sold a total of 742413 units from January to August, up 4.76 per cent from a year earlier.

Great Wall Motor has previously released specific figures on the sales of new energy models in August. The company sold 26266 units in the same month, up 119.5% from January to August, an increase of 148231 units from January to August, up 71.3% from a year earlier.
