CTOnews.com Sept. 5, according to the new energy passenger car manufacturers' wholesale sales bulletin released by the Federation of passengers in August 2023, including exports, Tesla sold 84159 cars in China last month, an increase of 30.92% from the previous month and 9.35% from the same period last year.

Tesla sold 624983 vehicles in China from January to August this year, up 56.27 percent from a year earlier, CTOnews.com quoted CnEVPost data.

According to the estimates of the Federation of passengers, BYD ranked first and substantially ahead of other manufacturers with wholesale sales of 274086 new energy passenger vehicles in August; Tesla ranked second with 84159 new energy vehicles in China; GAC Ean New Energy ranked third with 52057 vehicles; Geely Automobile ranked fourth with 47299 new energy vehicles, while Changan Automobile ranked fifth with 40100 vehicles.

Tesla launched a new Model 3 model on the 1st of this month. The rear-drive model can provide 606km CLTC mileage, with a top speed of 200km/h and a 100km acceleration time of 6.1 seconds. Tesla announced that the prices of the two flagship models, Model S and Model X, will be adjusted, with a maximum reduction of 220000 yuan.

The new car is now on the official website with the following price and configuration:

Model 3 refurbished version: 259900 yuan (rear wheel drive)

Model 3 continuous flight refurbished version: 295900 yuan (dual motor all-wheel drive)

In terms of long-lasting models, its top speed is also 200km/h, but the acceleration time of 100 kilometers is shortened to 4.4 seconds, and the mileage of CLTC reaches 713km. At present, the car is still in a scheduled state and is expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter.
