CTOnews.com Sept. 5 news, Xiaomi recently issued a statement, regarding the overseas version of MIUI system to change the default home page of Chrome browser, denied the possibility of the virus, and explained the reason for this situation.

The official statement is as follows: "Xiaomi fans, we have recently noticed that due to the cooperation between Xiaomi and Mintnav, your Chrome browser home page has been switched to the Mintnav.com website. This adjustment is not mandatory, users can change the Chrome browser home page at any time according to their needs."

CTOnews.com queried the relevant information and found that the problem could be traced back to March this year at the earliest. Users reported that the above problem would occur after upgrading to MIUI 14.

For now, this issue covers multiple regional versions such as MIUI 14 Global and EEA. After users upgrade, the default home page of the Chrome browser will be changed to Mintnav.com.
