On Monday, local time, Elon Musk, the boss of X (formerly Twitter), threatened to sue the Anti-Defamation Alliance (ADL), saying he "tried to kill" X.

According to ADL, there has been an increase in bad comments on the platform after Musk bought social media Twitter last year.

In a series of posts on Monday, Musk said X may have no choice but to file a libel suit against ADL, the anti-defamation alliance.

Musk bought Twitter in April 2022 and later renamed it X. He blamed ADL directly for a 60 per cent drop in advertising revenue for social media platform X in the US. Although it is not clear how serious Musk's threat to sue is. But he said that if X wins the lawsuit, he will insist that ADL give up the "anti" part of the organization's name.

Musk said, "our advertising revenue in the United States is still down 60%, mainly because ADL put pressure on advertisers, so they almost killed X / Twitter!"
