CTOnews.com Sept. 4, WalkingCat, a well-known Microsoft news whistleblower, posted a short video on his X account, which looks like a Microsoft promotional video. The video shows icons and a search bar with the words "Help me get organized" on it. The video ends with an OneDrive logo and a sentence: "check the next step of OneDrive on October 3" (See What's Next for OneDrive on Oct. 3).

CTOnews.com notes that October 3 may refer to Microsoft's Power Platform Conference, a meeting held in Las Vegas from October 3 to 5.

There has been no news from OneDrive for some time, and the video above suggests that Microsoft is developing some generative artificial intelligence features for the service to help users organize files, similar to Microsoft 365Copilot and Windows Copilot updates.

Some of Microsoft's recent OneDrive-related updates include the cancellation of unlimited cloud storage for commercial customers. In May, OneDrive offered new looks and features to educational and business customers on the web. Recently, Xbox Insider Program tested an upcoming feature that allows Xbox host users to automatically upload clips and screenshots of their games to their OneDrive storage.
