CTOnews.com, Sept. 4 (Reuters)-Indian financial technology company Paytm, which is regarded as "Indian Alipay", today launched a "payment speaker" Card Soundbox, which allows merchants to accept mobile payments and bank cards, including VISA, MasterCard, American Express and RuPay.

According to the report, the speaker sells for 999 rupees (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 88 yuan) and its cost is only 1/3 of that of competitors. It can provide real-time voice reminders in payment, which is designed to solve the problem of instant reminders of bank card payments and successful transactions, so as to prevent fraud.

The device integrates a POS, speaker and payment QR code card, is equipped with an LCD display and supports mobile payments via NFC or contactless credit / debit cards. Users can also use NFC-enabled mobile phones to complete payments up to 5000 rupees (currently about RMB439).

In other ways, the speaker uses a 4G network connection, provides reminders in 11 languages, can be customized by merchants through Paytm for business App, and the built-in battery provides a five-day battery life.
