CTOnews.com, September 4 (Xinhua)-- Polestar unveiled the Synergy concept car at the 2023 Munich Motor Show, a "fantasy supercar" that combines the ideas of three design competition winners. The concept car focuses on performance, advanced technology and sustainability, and draws some inspiration from nature.

After selecting 10 finalists out of 600 contestants in the design competition, the star finally selected three winners. Two designers from France are in charge of exterior design, and one designer from China is in charge of interior design. The three winners worked with the star's design team for six months to complete the design of the concept car. The concept car is 1.07 meters high and 4.65 meters long, with eye-catching wheel arches, huge front lips and eye-catching taillights. Polar said the design of the new car was inspired by hammerhead sharks.

In terms of interior decoration, the concept car has only one sports-style seat and is "performance-oriented". The car is equipped with racing seat belts, digital dashboards and many small digital screens, which can display information such as battery power and external temperature. The steering wheel is similar to an aircraft joystick and is equipped with a digital display.

Although Synergy will not go into production, Polar is expanding its product line. CTOnews.com noted that the company launched the Polar 3 SUV earlier this year, showed the Polar 5 GT for the first time at the Goodwood Speed Festival in 2022, and sold out 500 limited edition sports car Polar 6 earlier this year.

The Polar Star design competition began in 2020, and while unveiling the Synergy concept car, the brand also announced a partnership with Hot Wheels, which will be the inspiration for the next design competition.
