CTOnews.com, September 4 (Xinhua)-- Seal, an electric sedan owned by BYD, recently launched an European version named Seal at the Munich auto show. There are two versions of the model, with prices of 44900 euros (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 352000 yuan) and 50990 euros (currently about 400000 yuan), well above the domestic price range of 189800-289800 yuan.

BYD Seal basically follows the domestic seal design in appearance and interior decoration, adopts the concept of marine aesthetics, and is fashionable in overall modeling. The interior is equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel, an electronic shift lever, a 10.25-inch full LCD dashboard and a 15.6-inch adaptive rotation center control screen.

In terms of power, BYD Seal offers both rear-drive and all-wheel drive options, both of which are equipped with 82.5kWh battery packs. The mileage of the rear-drive version is 570 km and that of the four-wheel drive model is 520 km (the specific test conditions are unknown). As a reference, domestic seals provide permanent magnet synchronous motors of 150 kilowatts, 170 kilowatts and 230 kilowatts, and the comprehensive maximum power of the four-wheel drive version is 230 kilowatts.
