Recently, the Digital Economy and Retail Industry Development Exchange Forum was held in Hefei. As one of the Anhui series of activities of the 2023"828 B2B Enterprise Festival," this forum was jointly organized by Huawei Cloud and the Digital Industry Center of the International Finance Research Institute of the University of Science and Technology of China. Ye Qiang, Executive Dean of Business School of Science and Technology of China University of Science and Technology, Executive Dean of School of Management and Dean of International Finance Institute, delivered a speech on the theme of "Innovation and Talent Cultivation in Digital Economy Era." Dean Ye first gave a brief introduction to the history of University of Science and Technology of China and Business School, and then, Dean Ye shared the digital economy development wave led by artificial intelligence technology and talent cultivation in digital economy era. President Ye said that with the continuous evolution of technology, the improvement of allocation efficiency and scale effect brought by platform economy have derived new value creation methods, and the talent cultivation mode in the digital economy era urgently needs innovation. Under this background, China University of Science and Technology uses the mode of cultivating talents with five understandings to cultivate innovative talents who understand both science and technology, industry, capital, market and management, so as to consolidate the talent base for the development of the industry.
Zhang Minghuang, General Manager of Retail Industry of Huawei Cloud China, brought the theme sharing of "Everything is Service, Do a Good Job of Retail Digital Cloud Base and Enabler," and introduced the digital development trend of China's retail industry and Huawei Cloud's ability to provide personalized recommendation, accurate marketing and intelligent operation for retail enterprises through cloud computing, big data analysis and other means. Based on Huawei's experience in digital transformation and strong AI capabilities, Huawei Cloud innovates and empowers the retail industry in five aspects: user growth, experience upgrading, product innovation, brand globalization and ecological co-construction, helping retail enterprises grow. Zhang Minghuang said that Huawei Cloud's initial intention is to unite ecological partners and customers, gather together peers, help Chinese retail enterprises grow and build global brands.
Bao Xiaoyong, Senior Research Institute of Xuanwu Cloud Industry Research Institute and General Manager of Xuanwu Cloud East China Company, shared the theme of "Data Intelligence, Creating New Growth Kinetic Energy of Large Consumer Enterprises," elaborated the concept of Xuanwu Cloud Industry Research Institute of "focusing on innovative research of industry omni-channel marketing mode and creating best practice of digital transformation of the industry," and combined with practical cases, the enabling practice of Xuanwu Cloud AI, DI, AIOT and AIGC intelligent organization in retail industry was shared.
After a short tea break, the forum entered the second half, and Guo Qianqian, deputy director of the Digital Industry Research Center of the Institute of International Finance of China University of Science and Technology, presided over the activity.
After Guo Qianqian made the opening introduction, Huawei cloud expert Li Pinxuan brought the theme sharing of "Global Data Drive, Creating a New Engine for Enterprise User Growth," and introduced the solutions for promoting sustainable user growth through public domain and private domain operation. Teacher Li believes that the isolation between different channels causes the fragmentation of user data, which reduces the inefficiency of enterprise user operation. In response to the above pain points, Huawei Cloud has created a marketing solution based on the three modules of traffic, products and services, which comprehensively improves the omni-channel reach, material labeling, rich reach forms and data precipitation capabilities of advertisements, enabling enterprises to operate users more efficiently.
Zhang Maosheng, general manager of Anhui Meiyijia Convenience Store Co., Ltd., shared Meiyijia's digital transformation process. At present, Meiyijia covers more than 220 cities nationwide, with more than 30000 stores, making it the convenience store brand with the largest number of stores in China. Zhang Maosheng said that Meiyijia's development has gone through three stages: exploration period, development period and digital transformation. In 2022, Meiyijia started digital upgrading. Relying on Huawei Cloud's rich industrial ecology and technological innovation capability, Meiyijia rebuilt business experience from the perspective of customers and launched the fourth generation user service platform of Meiyijia.
Pan Kun, Director of Zhoupu Data Algorithm, shared the Brand Channel Digitalization Scheme and introduced the development process and product service of Zhoupu Data. Since its establishment, Zhoupu Data has focused on the intelligent field of FMCG channel circulation data, committed to building the infrastructure of offline digital circulation of FMCG industry. With the help of its cloud steward, store steward, warehouse manager, Zhouyi, Zhouxuan and other products, it accurately links brands and channels to help retail brands better understand the market and explore the market.
At the end of the round-table exchange session of the forum, the audience enthusiastically asked questions to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the digital transformation, and the on-site experts also patiently and carefully gave answers.
